Two massive pet peeves of mine.
Have –
Example – “I’ll have Renee do that.” Oh … will you? Because I am yours to command? How about you ASK Renee to do that. Saying you’ll “HAVE” me do something makes me feel like you believe I have no choice in the matter. We all have free will.
Never –
Example – “You never got back to me.” Really? NEVER? How was that trip to the end of infinity and back? OH WAIT.
How about “You haven’t gotten back to me” or “I haven’t heard back from you.”
